Getting the Canberra community from A to B, safely and efficiently
A major corridor and orbital link, Monaro Highway serves Australian Capital Territory’s (ACT’s) local community, freight, workers, and visitors. However, continued growth in the region is placing pressure on the existing transport network. With one of the highest vehicle congestion and accident rates in ACT, Transport Canberra and City Services have implemented a plan to transform the Monaro Highway and associated corridor to improve safety and travel times. With a plan to deliver upgrades in a staged approach, they engaged our transport team to work on the Lanyon Drive Interchange upgrade (Package 1).
Focused on the delivery of a grade separation at Lanyon Drive and Monaro Highway intersection, our services included progressing concepts through to design documentation with tender documents. The works consist of sub packages. Package 1B covers a new southbound flyover and main highway upgrades for both carriageways. Package 1C covers upgrades to Lanyon Drive, the southbound highway ramps, and an extension of David Warren Road.
When complete, these upgrades will help ACT’s growing community get where it needs to go, safely and on time.
