Transforming industrial spaces with the latest sustainability strategies
Located on a 56-hectare site east of Mamre Road in Kemps Creek within the Penrith Local Government Area, Aspect Industrial Estate is set to become a leading hub for premium warehouse and logistics facilities. The masterplan includes nine warehouses featuring car parking, vehicular and truck access roads, stormwater infrastructure, and landscaped areas. Mirvac selected us as part of the team to provide sustainability services for this significant industrial development.
Our role involved setting the overarching sustainability design strategy for the estate and identifying key features for each warehouse to address to enhance sustainability performance. Industrial typologies have their own environmental impacts and opportunities, so we created bespoke strategies that would optimise ecological outcomes. Drawing upon the unique elements of an industrial site, strategies include large open spaces and naturally ventilated areas. Together with Mirvac, we developed decarbonisation strategy targets that aligned with their plan to reach net positive carbon production.
After achieving approval for this state significant development, the project to progressed to the construction phase. This approval marks a significant step towards providing logistics facilities that adhere to the latest standards of sustainability.
