Chris leads the Water Management team in Scotland, and his career has spanned more than 30 years in civil engineering and water management. He has a degree in civil engineering from Nottingham Trent University and is a chartered engineer and member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM).
He has extensive experience in sustainable drainage systems (SuDS), and he’s specialised in surface water management planning, river restoration, flood risk assessments, flood protection schemes, and drainage design. He’s supported authorisations under Scottish water-related environmental regulations, and he’s completed environmental impact assessment support with a focus on sustainable and innovative approaches to water management.
Chris has worked on projects which have been put forward for awards with the Engineering Council (Environment Award for Engineers), BP Amoco (the Chairman’s Award), and SEPA (the Habitat Enhancement Initiative award).
