Scott’s varied experience since 1991 includes a wide range of transport planning, strategy, appraisal, research, and modelling work. He is a versatile and experienced project manager, director, and advisor whose portfolio covers transport projects across all modes and disciplines. His focus is on national, regional, and local government clients, and he brings a research and evidence-based approach to his projects.
Studies include multi-criteria options appraisal, policy appraisal, strategy development, transport research, and project evaluation. His PhD work was focused on how transport influences location and operational decisions for firms. He has extensive experience in the ferries sector and has directed over 30 such UK studies in the last decade.
Scott also works with his team to develop innovative approaches in fields including connectivity analysis, GIS, data analytics, and presentation and the visualization of outputs. Outside work, Scott is a keen commuter cyclist and mountain biker.
