Leading the national flood risk modelling team out of our Reading office, Amy has over 15 years of experience in the fields of water and flood risk. She has a degree in geography from the University of Southampton and a master’s degree in water resources from the University of Birmingham—she’s also a chartered member of both Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) and the Society for the Environment.
Amy’s expertise is in developing sustainable flood management solutions that optimise the potential of a development site (while also reducing flood risk to existing communities and providing environmental enhancements). Over the course of her career, she’s worked with a range of private sector clients, providing advice and undertaking flood risk assessments and environmental statements. Amy is experienced in applying national policy and guidance regarding flood risk from pre-application discussions through the planning process to discharge of conditions and obtaining environmental permits .
When she isn’t at work, Amy’s probably spending her free time taxiing her two children around. She also loves to bake, jog, and have a relaxing walk with her dog.
