With transportation constituting a significant portion of carbon emissions, Polly applies nearly 20 years of experience to deliver the most efficient transport and land development plans possible for her clients. In delivering these projects she draws upon her extensive and varied knowledge to support a variety of schemes, from small windfall sites to major urban extensions—from the earliest stages of inception—to the conclusion of the planning process and beyond.
She has a particular focus on the development and delivery of sustainable access strategies, both in response to climate change, but also as a tool to unlock challenging sites which may otherwise have a severe impact on the surrounding highway network. As part of this, Polly leads our Active Travel programme, which focuses on developing innovative, sustainable Travel Plans for a range of land uses.
Polly is an enthusiastic plantswoman, with a keen interest in wildlife and pollinator-friendly gardening, as well as growing her own cut flowers. When not at work, she can usually be found in her garden or at her allotment with secateurs or trowel in hand. She is also active in her community as chair of her local primary school parent and teacher association.
