Located in one of Sydney’s major growth corridors, the Willowdale residential development in the East Leppington Precinct showcases how we help our clients balance environmentally sustainable outcomes, social needs, and economically feasible development. Willowdale is a masterplanned community delivering 3,700 residential lots, a village centre, parks and open space, environmental corridors, schools, retirement living precinct, and a retail centre—setting a new benchmark for urban development in the region.
Our teams carried out engineering feasibility assessments, survey, flood modelling, traffic modelling, water and sewer design, bridge design, and all other civil engineering design works, from inception through to completion. This was a project with a significant scope, not only in its extent but over a long delivery schedule. It required balancing numerous constraints, including interfaces with major roads and other infrastructure servicing the area.
We were mindful about protecting existing native vegetation—including a portion of Cumberland Plain Woodland and a threatened species—while also managing stormwater treatment and flood conveyance within these sensitive areas.
