Ensuring a community has the infrastructure needed to thrive
Kings Central is a multi-stage greenfield subdivision with approximately 350 lots located in the Penrith Local Government Area (LGA).
We were engaged by Lendlease, the community’s developer, to deliver a whole suite of civil engineering inputs for the subdivision. This role saw us designing for stormwater and trunk drainage and three basins. It also included the removal, design, and realignment of new and existing utilities such as sewer, water, electrical, gas and communications services. Our team provided environmental advice on erosion and sediment control, bulk earthworks as well as detailed and road designs. We prepared stormwater system modelling and designs, water sensitive urban design, geotechnical analysis, and the design of pits and retaining walls. The key challenges for the project included the upgrade of an existing roundabout. This involved performing works on an in-use roundabout, making significant level changes and getting the requisite authority approvals for service relocations and services needing to be installed above existing levels.
By providing these services, we have ensured that the Kings Central community has the infrastructure they need to grow and thrive.
