Darcy began his civil engineering journey with a focus on subdivision projects in Geelong. He quickly became adept at designing and drafting key infrastructure components like roads, earthworks, and water systems. As he progressed, he expanded his skill set into construction management, excelling in areas such as contract administration, financial processing, and client relations.
Driven by a passion for innovation, Darcy thrives on the unique challenges presented by each project. In 2022, he joined the Melbourne Airport Rail Early Works project. He was responsible for managing various utility relocation designs. This required intensive workshopping and coordination to create custom solutions, as well as collaboration across multiple disciplines. He also led the creation of automated workflows and tools, enhancing the design process and earning praise from the client for the improvements in efficiency.
When he isn’t busy with civil engineering and infrastructure projects, Darcy enjoys playing music, gardening, and DIY projects, which not only provide a creative outlet but also align with his commitment to sustainability and self-reliance.
