Mendo has over 30 years’ experience in civil engineering design. Along with professional practice, he also sees his career as 30 years of relationship building. Since 2008, he has proudly managed a team of engineers dedicated to the Citywide Design and Construct Contract for the City of Melbourne. Mendo enjoys the variety of projects the contract presents including various design services for approximately $30 million of civil infrastructure works within the City.
Recently, he has worked with the State Government of Victoria and City of Melbourne Public Security Enhancement Program, delivering hostile vehicle mitigation designs for iconic sites across the city including Flinders Street Station, and Princes Bridge. The goal is to enhance public safety effectively and unobtrusively.
Outside of work, he enjoys soccer, AFL football (Western Bulldogs fan), relaxing with friends and neighbours, eating traditional Macedonian fare, and enjoying grappa, the national Macedonian aperitif.
