Albany, Australia
Albany, Australia
On the south coast of Western Australia, Albany—Kinjarling in the Noongar language of the local Menang people—is a gateway to the Great Southern region. It’s surrounded by national parks and nature reserves, and it boasts a dramatic, rugged coastline.
Albany has a rich history that centres around the deep water of King George Sound as well as a spacious, natural harbour which was a strategic port in wartime, launching Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) troops. The settlement town flourished in the gold rush and was long involved in the whaling trade, turning to wind farming and alternative energy in recent years and serving as a thriving tourist destination.
Our office is in one of the many charming heritage buildings typical of Albany, and we’ve played a significant role in raising Albany’s reputation as a destination. We’ve contributed to the revitalised foreshore and marina as well as the Centennial Park Sporting Precinct, which provides world-class boating and sporting facilities to the region.
Working with the people of Albany, we aim to realise opportunities essential to the economy while enabling and enhancing interaction with the region’s natural wonders and preserving the unique history, beauty, and charm that will allow Albany to continue to evolve.
